Juha Hiedanpää (PhD) is research professor on natural resource and environmental policy and governance at the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). He writes about wildlife, biodiversity, and land use. He teaches Ecological Economics, and Global Economy and Biodiversity at the University of Turku, Finland. He is the director of the Strategic Research Council (SRC) Programme Environmental and Social Links to Biodiversity Loss (BIOD, 2021–2027) by at the Academy of Finland
