Kristiina Härkönen is the Chief Sustainability Officer in digitalisation consultancy Gofore Plc.
Kristiina has always been passionate about building a better future for both people and for the planet. She believes that technology and digitalisation can be important factors helping to solve some of our time’s biggest challenges. Technology in itself is neutral, it is us, the people who must decide how to use it. It is also imperative that companies understand their responsibility for creating a more sustainable future.
Kristiina has MSc. in Technology. She has worked at Gofore since 2003. During that time, she has seen the company grow from five people to a thousand. She has worked as a software developer, project manager, IT architecture and project management consultant business director.
Since 2020, Gofore has collaborated with Baltic Sea Action Group, Finnish Meteorological Institute and Häme University of Applied Sciences in innovating digital solutions for soil carbon sequestration verification. The aim is to create an open and scalable data ecosystem that benefits all the stakeholders and enables the farmers to benefit from regenerative farming.
